Turkey

TURKEY

Turkey is fast becoming a hot spot for holiday makers and property investors alike. Its beautiful year-round climate, variety of scenery and extensive history make Turkey a wonderful country to live and explore.

Bodrum and its surrounding resorts…

Bodrum is situated on the western Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Bodrum is known as a major business and tourist centre. It has a thriving and bustling town, for those who like the busy life. Bodrum offers visitors a fantastic shopping opportunity and thousands of years of history.

Altinkum

Altinkum, situated just over an hours drive north of Bodrum airport is a friendly family resort with many visitors returning year after year. Altinkum means 'Golden Sands' and with its beautiful beaches which gently shelve into the inviting turquoise blue Aegean, you will know where it gets it name from.  The beaches are ideal for children and non-swimmers as the waters are shallow and clear.

Gulluk

Gulluk formerly a fishing village, is now quickly emerging as a popular spot both for holiday makers and investors alike. With its lovely promenade, fish restaurants, beaches and calm, clear seas, Gulluk has something to offer for everyone, especially as it is just 10 minutes drive from Bodrum International Airport and 15 minutes from the nearest ‘pay and play’ golf courses.

Gumusluk

The peaceful village of Gumusluk is one of the oldest settlements on the Bodrum peninsula.  It stands on the site of the ancient Carian city of Myndus, whose seafront sections slid into the sea in some long-forgotten earthquake. Today these remains are a magnet for snorkelers, in 2006 one hundred archaeologists descended on Gumusluk to start excavating the land, so far they have uncovered further walls and mosaics.  Dozens of seafood restaurants line the seafront.

Yalikavak

In keeping with this attitude, the town centre is a traffic-free zone in which to enjoy relaxed shopping trips and idle hours in the many quiet bars and cafés. Each week, one of the biggest markets on the entire Bodrum Peninsula takes place in Yalikavak, where visitors and locals alike mingle to pick up the best in cheap clothing and locally produced fresh fruit and vegetables.

Fethiye and its surrounding resorts…

Fethiye is a busy, attractive harbour with a thriving old town packed full of bars and restaurants. Fethiye has a variety of attractions from the promenades of Calis beach to the serenity of Olu Deniz and the nightlife of Hisaronu.

Calis Beach

Calis Beach is the well-known main beach area adjoining Fethiye. It has a typical beach and promenade with bars and restaurants backing on to a long clear beach. A resort which is becoming increasing popular with Brits wishing to retire to the sun!

Gocek

Gocek is only a short drive from Dalaman airport and is known as the jewel in the crown of the Turkish coastline. Gocek boasts a world class marina, which is a natural playground for millionaires. Many famous stars have purchased properties in Gocek, as it still holds its cozy village atmosphere

Hisaronu

Hisaronu has become a magnet for nightlife enthusiasts, with a myriad of restaurants and bars providing entertainment into the early hours. Hop on a Dolmus and head 5 minutes down the road to the wonderful beaches at Olu Deniz.

Kalkan

Kalkan sits on a promontory just within the Antalya province of Turkey, a couple of hours drive from Dalaman airport, and is located on a small but beautiful bay, with a very attractive harbour. The town is built on a hillside and is surrounded by hills and, although growing with new developments, Kalkan still retains an Old Town atmosphere. Through the steep walk from the harbour, there is a myriad of craft shops and quality bars and restaurants for you to enjoy as you explore its narrow streets full of vibrancy.

Kas

Kas, however, is a short drive from Kalkan and presents itself with a different kind of ambience. Smaller than Kalkan and without the steep, winding streets it has a more relaxed feel but still has the charm of an old town area of craft shops, bars and restaurants. A new marina is planned here and the views from the hills outside the main town can be quite stunning.

Olu Deniz

Olu Deniz and its Blue Lagoon is a must for beach lovers, paragliders and sun-worshippers alike, with its vast stretch of sandy beach and beautiful scenery. Great nightlife with many bars and restaurants – some busy, some quiet and romantic.

Uzumlu

Uzumlu has a style of its own, as a traditional village inland and surrounded by mountains. Here, spring water flows readily to supply the town with water. It is cooler than on the coast and with a relaxed feel and ideal for those lazy days.

Antalya and its surrounding resorts…

Antalya, Turkey's principal holiday resort in the Mediterranean region is an attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards, with a stunning marina. In the picturesque old quarter named Kaleici, narrow winding streets and old wooden houses abut the ancient city walls.

Belek

Belek is Turkey’s premier golfing resort with dazzling white sandy beaches and ancient sites like the great amphitheatre of Aspendos, still used today for concerts, festivals and events. There are also two stunning (Floridian style) beach parks and Water Park.

Side

The resort of Side is approximately 1 hour east of Antalya. It has history and culture for those who seek it with the Roman archaeological sites. It has two fabulous beaches, an array of restaurants and if it is shopping you're after, there is a good selection in the little back streets. An all-round family resort
